Impact story

Welcome to the jungle.

Nov 24 2025

2025 has been a big year for AIRO. With your support, we’ve seen increased momentum in our mission to advance the gospel to the unreached: 17 new missionary partners have had their barrier of student debt removed—meaning we’ve officially committed to paying off nearly $8.4 million in student debt! With all God has done this year, we can’t wait to see what He has in store in these final weeks.

Before all that gets rolling, however, we’ve got a story to share from Chase and Anabelle Campbell. After just one year on the field in Southeast Asia, they’ve made enough progress to make the move to their final context!

Welcome to the jungle.

Since landing in rural Southeast Asia, Chase and Anabelle have been focused on learning a new language and culture—all in hopes of planting a church among the W* unreached people group.

By God’s grace, their work has gone very well! They’ve already reached level 8 of 9 in their new language, built friendships with locals, and learned fundamentals of the culture!

But this is only the beginning of the work that lies ahead.

You see, the W people Chase and Anabelle seek to reach don’t live in a major city or village. They’re located on a jungle island in the middle of the ocean—miles off the coast of the mainland, away from civilization. Remote unreached people groups like these often come with their own languages and cultures, and the W people are no exception.

For this reason, reaching the W people comes with tremendous difficulties. Chase and Anabelle knew they would have to move their family, build a house, and learn another language—starting all over again!

The Campbells have had the opportunity to visit the island and its people several times since hitting the field. They’ve met locals and seen the work that awaits them, and only grown more eager to begin the process of sharing and teaching the gospel to them!

And thanks to your support, they’re closer than ever!

Today, Chase and Anabelle are in the process of moving their family to the island to live among the W people. They’re gathering funds and supplies to make the move to their final destination. This is the next chapter in what they pray is many years of service there.

When the W people heard this news, they quickly began clearing land and gathering materials—one man is even moving his house closer to the build site so he can be closer to the Campbells’ teaching in the future! They cannot wait to share it with him someday.

This story is made possible by our community removing Chase and Anabelle’s student debt—thank you for supporting them in this important work! With this barrier removed, they’re able to fully focus on the task at hand, long-term.

On behalf of all of us at AIRO—and especially the Campbells—thank you!

Sending Tuesday

Giving Tuesday is December 2nd. This year, we’re coming together as a community of senders to do what we do best: eliminate student debt for missionaries going to the unreached. For that reason, we’re reframing it as Sending Tuesday

We invite you to mark your calendar for December 2nd and join us for a day centered around sending missionaries where they’re needed most! You’re not going to want to miss what’s in store.

P.S. We’ve also got an exciting announcement dropping on Sending Tuesday. Make sure you’re following AIRO on Instagram so you’re in the know!

We send with great joy.

It’s our greatest privilege to help send missionary partners to the field and to keep them there long-term!

Want to get in on the action? Make a gift today and advance the gospel to the unreached!
